Based on 284 reviewsCarik Terrace Warung is widely appreciated for its stunning views of the rice terraces in Tegallalang, offering guests a scenic dining experience that complements the food. Visitors frequently highlight the combination of reasonable prices and a menu that balances local Indonesian dishes with some Western options. The quality of the food, particularly satays, curries, and fresh juices, is consistently praised for freshness and flavor. Service tends to be attentive, though a few remarks suggest it can occasionally lack warmth. The presence of a photo-friendly swing adds to the appeal, making it a popular spot for both relaxation and capturing memorable moments. Overall, it is regarded as a solid choice for tourists seeking authentic cuisine with a picturesque backdrop.
Awesome local restaurant with great view where prices are reasonable. We’re happy that our guide recommended us to be here after the rice paddy visit which was only 5 mins away. You can still enjoy the rice paddy view from this restaurant. There’re also western foods but we recommend mixed satay and chicken curry. Watermelon juice was made from real fruit and no sugar added (when you tell them). There’s also a swing that you can make photos with free of charge. Staff are helpful and toilet is clean.
In advance - We were brought to this place by the tour guide we booked, we didn’t have much of a choice of different restaurants around the area. We sat down at our table that has an incredible view instantly, great service. After ordering our food and a couple juices/drinks we went towards their swing and took amazing pictures there instead of paying $50+ for a place that just has a bigger swing but same view. (Happy Swing) We waited around 20 minutes for our main course, though our drinks came very fast! I personally ordered a Mixed Sate (Shown in pictures) which was definitely something. Although the sticky rice, peanut butter sauce, and small spicy salad were good, the main ingredient, the meat, was over cooked and a bit burned. The lettuce and tomato’s were not good too, probably not yet ripe. Although the main course was a set back, the drinks were delicious, (Banana Milkshake) the view was spectacular, and the service was astounding making it an overall great experience! 3.8/5
Great experiencie here! The food is delicious and very reasonable prices; the workers are very kind and helpful. The view is perfect. The noodles, mix pate and calamari was exquisite
Very good food, we had the Club Sandwich and the Crispy Duck. Juices are also fresh. Normal prices. Great view on rice terraces.
Great food and view. Considering it’s a tourist restaurant, it has definitely exceeded our expectations by far. Service not particularly friendly.
Restaurant right by the terraces, not too crowded. Ordered beef rice, cost 80k IDR. Can you believe the cappuccino was 40k? Half the price of the meal! At least the beef rice was good, tasted like mom’s cooking. But the service was so slow!!! Drinks took 20 mins, food 40 mins—was starving by then.
Its view is amazing I was going to visit rice terrace but changed mind to come here. You can get full meal with same price of rice terrace entrance fee. The food is soso but worth to visit only for the view. It’s not crowded like other cafe
It’s a warung but with such an amazing view. Better than all the others over priced places. Good food and especially the view is incredible. The atmosphere is also very calm, not overcrowded
